Jim and Elsie Meeks and family, Oglala Lakota (Sioux) tribal members, have been ranching on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation for over 30 years. Broken Arrow is a a cow-calf operation, but Meeks also raise quality bucking stock with famous bucking bloodlines and are in the rodeo business.
Broken Arrow Ranch is 50 miles from the infamous Wounded Knee Massacre, 25 miles from Badlands National Park and 100 miles from Mt. Rushmore and Black Hill Nat'l Forest.
